Quitting and Succeeding Look Identical

mindset Nov 02, 2026

There was a point in my real estate business where I was ready to walk away.

I wasn't finding what I thought a deal looked like. I was stuck. Frustrated. And that voice that says maybe this just isn't for you was getting louder.

But I was in a group coaching program, and I could see other people doing it, people just like me (maybe not as smart as me), closing deals, making it work. So, I knew it was possible, but I just couldn't figure out why it wasn't happening for me yet.

My coach kept lending me his faith in me when I had none left for myself.

The group kept building me up. Showing up, reminding me to stay in it.

And I did.

Now I've been a full time real estate investor for years, living off my investments, helping others do the same thing.

🧠 Quitting and Succeeding Look The Same

Here's what I know now that I didn't know then. Quitting and making it often look identical right up until the moment they don't. The person who quits and the person who succeeds are usually at the exact same hard spot. The only difference is one of them had people around them who wouldn't let them stop.

Most people fail not because they lack ability. They fail because they run out of belief before the results show up. And they're doing it alone.

When you have someone just ahead of you showing you it's possible and someone right there with you in the trenches, you do things you never would have done on your own.

Think about something you're close to quitting right now.

Would borrowed faith from the right person change it?

Hit reply and let me know.

Adrian's Takeaway

👉 Quitting and succeeding look the same way right up until they don't. The difference isn't ability, it's whether you have people around you who refuse to let you stop before your belief runs out.
