Are You Really Running a Business… or Just a Job?

Most entrepreneurs think they own a business. But really?
They just own their job.

Most real estate investors and entrepreneurs wear a hundred hats in their “business.”
But here’s the truth: many of those aren’t actually businesses. They’re just jobs we own. 

If you want a true business, you need systems, processes, and a trusted team. 

One of my biggest roles is making sure each team member is in the right seat, doing the right task. 🎯 

A Recent Shift That Changed Everything 

I realized there was one task I wasn’t good at. I dragged my feet on it, which slowed everything down. 

So Karen, my office manager, and I talked. We decided she would take over the first step, and I’d step in later where I add the most value. 

That task? Letting friends and family know about private money opportunities. 💵 

When I handled it, I’d reach out one by one. Sometimes it took me a week or two. The problem? By the time I got to the last people, the opportunity was already gone. 

Now Karen sends out one timely email (blind copied, of course) so everyone hears at the same time. They can reply if they’re interested, and then I continue the conversation from there. 

Some of you may have even gotten that email and know exactly what I’m talking about. 

Why This Matters 

Since we put this system in place:
✅ People hear about opportunities faster
✅ I don’t get stuck in a task that wasn’t my strength
✅ The business runs smoother and more like… a real business 🌱 

These little shifts compound. They free you from being an entrepreneur who does everything and move you toward being a business owner who builds something bigger than themselves.
