Our identity is who we believe we are.
We can’t change anything in our lives until we change that belief.

 

If you identify as someone who’s overweight, you won’t keep the weight off until you stop seeing yourself that way. The same goes for business. You can’t grow into your next level if you’re still clinging to an old identity.

 

For me, that identity was tied to my old T-shirt, My Wife Buys Mobile Homes.

 

Over time, that brand became who I was without even realizing it. Everyone remembered me by it. You’d see the bright yellow shirt, smile, and say, “Hey, My Wife Buys guy!” And honestly, I loved it. The positive feedback reinforced that identity.

 

But as you know, I don’t have a wife anymore. Which meant that the brand, this thing that had become part of me, had to change.

 

At first, I resisted. I told myself I’d just keep it because it worked. But the truth was, I was stuck. Not in marketing, in identity.

 

When I finally sat with myself, I realized the brand was really about me all along.
Most of you never met my ex-wife. You connected with my energy, my passion, and my way of doing business. I’m the one out there solving mobile home problems, helping sellers, and teaching students.

 

So I did the inner work to shift my identity, and now I’m finalizing the brand change to Adrian Buys Mobile Homes.

 

Same bright yellow shirt. Same energy. Same mission.
Just a more aligned identity for who I am today.
